hybridCore Homes is a technology that marries traditional site-built construction with factory-built construction, taking advantage of the inherent efficiencies that each have to offer.
Begun in 2009, hybridCore Homes introduced a library of plans featuring "cores" built in the factory. These cores typically have all the wet areas of the home - the kitchen, bathroom, and the laundry included. Also the most expensive and complex portions of the homes, these "cores" come complete to the site including cabinets, appliances, fixtures, and lighting, painted and trimmed. The contractor then constructs the simpler portions of the home - the bedrooms, living areas, and garage - and is able to put his own personal touches on the exterior.
Besides our library of plans, we have found great success utilizing the hybridCore technology on custom homes, especially on difficult infill lots or areas of the country where construction is constrained by weather, availability of trades, or other market conditions. We have also found that there is tremendous cost and time savings using the hybridCore method for multi-family projects.
hybridCore Homes has won numerous awards and accolades for its innovation, affordablility, and environmental attributes. We are especially proud to win the 2013 and 2014 "National Home of the Year" at the National Modular Housing Council's annual convention, as well as awards for concept homes.
